A while ago I went on a little shopping spree and I thought you might enjoy having a look at what I purchased. First up is Maybelline - vivid matte liquid in the shades "Nude Trill" and "Possessed Plum." I have always been a fan of Maybelline and was the first brand I ever purchased from when I was growing up into a young woman and starting to experiment with makeup. The vivid matte liquids come in 6 different shades from natural nudes to bright corals and deep plums to pretty pinks and they are currently on offer at Superdrug buy one get one half price. I have been using these regularly and I am delighted with the results. Very creamy and velvety smooth but don't dry the lips like other matte lip products. Nude Trill is a lovely natural shade that looks beautiful with a smoky eye and Possessed Plum is a deep vampy shade that makes a statement.

I love dogs. There's no doubt about that. Being the owner of Ben (my lively Springer Spaniel), I am always out walking, sometimes crossing paths with other dog walkers or relaxing and cuddling the pooch.

Mouthwateringly moist deep red sponge topped with white cream cheese; red velvet cupcakes are little luxuries and best served with a cup of tea. I have made a printable recipe card which you can keep as a reference or take with you when you go shopping as a kind of shopping list. Either way, you can print out the card to keep by clicking on the download link.

Rituals | The Ritual of Karma - Body Cream (£19.50) & Shower Oil (£8.50)*
New to the Rituals range is "the ritual of karma." Ancient Hindu belief claims that living with good intent attracts positive karma. In essence, say good words; think good thoughts; do good deeds and good will come your way. I believe in this and always try to do a good deed a day: be it holding the door open for someone or giving a compliment. The collection from Rituals comprises of: shower foam, body cream, body scrub, shower oil, fragrance sticks and a candle. Featuring the sweet floral aroma of white holy lotus and refreshing bergamot; it makes this the most luxurious bath time treat and perfect for a well deserved pamper session. The scent is light which is great for those who do not like overpowering aromas. The packaging features a cool aqua green shade which I find refreshing and calming topped with copper accents. This is defiantly luxury skin care.

From the picture-perfect stone cottages adored with typical cottage garden flowers to fresh local seafood, North Norfolk is one of my favourite places. A truly quintessentially English coastland intertwined with beautiful countryside. Personally speaking, it's the best of both worlds. You may have noticed from my Instagram that a few weeks ago I stayed in the beautiful village of Weybourne. Interestingly over the years it's spelling has changed from "Wauborn" and "Wauburne" in 1610 and "Weyburn" in 1927 however, the name we know today "Weybourne" comes from John Marius Wilson, "Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales", (1870). The tranquil village is around 4 miles from Holt, a gorgeous Georgian town and a short 10 minutes walk to the beach is the perfect retreat. Its everything you would expect from a pretty English village... a local village shop supplying fresh produce including free range eggs and Norfolk pink potatoes from Breck Farm situated 1 mile away, a pub, a tearoom serving fresh cakes and tea, a church and an abundance of pretty pastel and thatched-roofed cottages.
