Self care. Two little words but such an important part of our lives. Self care is defined as "care of the self without any medical intervention" according to Oxford Dictionary, 2016 however, I don't feel that this definition does this term much justice. While it provides the reader with an understanding, it does not explore and encompass the whole meaning. So what exactly is 'self care'? For me, it is spending time and taking care of oneself in a non-judgmental and selfless way, understanding and attending to the needs of the mind and the body. Think of this as a gift to yourself. In a world that is fast pace, we can sometimes neglect ourselves and can result in feeling 'burnt out.' I have put this mini guide together with some ideas and tips on self care for the mind and body and I hope you find it useful (you could add this to your favourites or bookmark this page so you can always find it when you need). There are lots of books, apps and websites full of different techniques which is fantastic but I am hoping to keep this post simple and inspiring. So keep reading if you'd like some useful tips and ideas.

For the little puppy in your life, these little breakfast bites are nutritious, healthy, easy and quick to make but importantly, a much cheaper alternative as they use ingredients found in your kitchen pantry (some dog recipes require more specialist ingredients which can become pricey). The recipe makes a batch of 24 breakfast bites. I like to keep these fresh by storing them in Tupperware. I half the batch by putting some in the freezer so I always have some ready to hand.
Ben adores these little breakfast bites! He has one in a morning but can also be used as a pre-bedtime supper for your pooch.

We all have special memories whether framed or stored in an album that we can delve into at any time, transporting us to a particular place and moment. Our photographs are preserved memories and when our busy schedules allow, we can revel in the moments and relive them. Dating back to 1800's when Thomas Wedgewood made the first reliable documentation of combining a dark room with some substances that alter in light, however this was unsuccessful and was not until the mid 1820's when Nicéphore Niépce succeeded.
