A while ago I visited Ikea. Luckily I don't live far from our local Ikea store. Ikea is one of those places I don't visit often but when I do, I am immediately drawn to the home accessories section admiring the scented candles, fluffy blankets and sweet succulent plants. On my recent trip, I purchased a few items and thought I would share what I got.

Chatsworth Farm Shop, Pilsley, Bakewell.
One of my favourite past times is visiting farm shops. The abundance of local produce carefully and lovingly crafted, harvested or reared portrays a sense of passion for good food and knowing exactly where it comes from.
The award winning Chatsworth farm shop located in the heart of Pilsley, Bakewell is proud to produce and prepare nearly half of its products on the Chatsworth estate. With a wide variety to choose from including a butcher's counter filled with Chatsworth meat, poultry and game, a fresh fish counter, fresh fruit and vegetables, a wonderful array of delicatessen goods including home-cooked meats and pies, delicious patisserie and a range of locally brewed beers, wines and soft drinks; there is something to tantalise your taste buds. Weather you are cooking a delicious dinner for your guests or looking for ingredients for a long and lazy weekend supper, the Chatsworth farm shop has something to offer.

York, United Kingdom.
Warning! Photo-heavy. Please allow time for photos to load.
Last weekend I visited the historical and beautiful city of York where I spent the day sight-seeing, visiting the wonderful attractions, tasting local produce and immersing myself in the colourful history of York. York is rich in history, full of charming cobbled streets, exquisite architecture, an array of local attractions including historical buildings, museums, tours and so much more. The city offers so much, it's hardly surprising to see why its such a popular destination and the perfect break for families, couples, and groups alike. The Romans knew York as Eboracum. To the Saxons it was Eoforwick and the Viking invaders called it Jorvik. The city is bursting with character including the marvellous medieval architecture, glorious Georgian town houses and the handsome Victorian railway.
